Upon starting the game we noticed a few new features have been added to the PC port. Not only does the game look great on a huge HD screen, you can actually play the game at three times the normal speed. At first this may be too fast for you, but for those who can process information at an above average rate, this may setting may be for you.
We can honestly say due to the stresses of being an adult, we just don't have the time I want to devote to video games any more. Combating this has been quite tough as the huge influx of releases of new and old titles, we have to select which games get our time. With Final Fantasy VII being our ultimate comfort game this feature makes re-experiencing the classic a breeze. Square-Enix managed to get the game running quickly while still being able to experience the music and sound effects at the original speed.
Final Fantasy VII is not alone, this feature. The current Steam releases of Final Fantasy VIII, IX, X and the still yet to release XII all come included with this new speed up feature.
Unsurprisingly this makes normal battles quick and painless, but now boss battles have a new element of challenge. Who would of thought that playing the game at three times the normal speed would have actually created a new level of difficulty?
Which other JRPG's besides Final Fantasy could you play at three or more times the normal game speed? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below!
