There's something simply satisfying about how the mouse feels in your hands. We noticed a direct improvement in games such as League of Legends and Overwatch. The padded grips located on the left and right side of the mouse felt tactile enough to prevent any finger slipping during a heated moment. With 6 programmable buttons available, we were able to bind just about anything we threw at it. It was certainly more effective and a definite improvement over pressing hotkeys. As expected, the Rival 310 comes equipped with Omran switches which ensures the Rival 310 will keep on performing for over 50 million clicks.
As for right handed gamers, we were able to test multiple mouse grips, we can say that both the finger tip grip and the claw grip work with the Rival 310 for moving and clicking. Even though these techniques do work, it's clear that if you want to take full advantage of the Rival 310's thumb buttons, you should stick with the palm grip for this one.
The Rival 310 is also incredibly accurate with 1:1 tracking and complete lack of input lag. This was a big advantage when we were testing it with games. Our commands were instantaneous. Aim in Overwatch was overall improved, whether we went in with guns blazing or hid in the shadows with Widowmaker for that perfect sniper shot.
Honestly, we can say the Rival 310 was a delightful surprise to us. The Rival 310 offers manages to deliver a great balance between quality and performance at the price of $59.99. Buy it here!
We at Game Rampage give the SteelSeries Rival 310 an 8.5 out of 10.
