Not only that, but if I were to sell my older games to them, they’d either turn me away or offer me a measly sum in comparison to what they will resell it for. At Game Rampage, we think it's morally wrong for these companies to offer you a fraction of the games value as credit as standard practice. LeapTrade was kind enough to give us trade-in credit to review their site. Thankfully LeapTrade offers an opportunity to change the way you trade-in games by offering consistently fair trade-in prices, quick exchanges and an everlasting guarantee.
After selecting the title I wanted, I would receive an email within 24 hours stating another user was ready to trade me their copy for trade-in credit. LeapTrade handles the tracking information for your package making it quick and easy to see its location. Most of the time you will probably be trading your games in for LeapTrade trade-in credit. Getting credit for selling a game is considered a basic trade and it can be saved up until you find a the games you wish to purchase. While I didn’t use this feature, LeapTrade also offers instant trades. This means that you can directly trading one title for another. It’s mutually beneficial to both gamers, making everyone happy.
While our experience with LeapTrade has been great, no new service is without flaws. The biggest flaw of the site is simply that there are not enough people using it yet. With a larger audience I can see LeapTrade becoming a serious threat to GameStop and the go-to way to trade-in games. Another issue we had was with inactive users. While many users were available to trade immediately a few users went inactive after putting their games up for trade resulting in cancelled listings. It all boils down to needing more users with active interest in buying and selling their games.
What's the bottom line? LeapTrade is the best way to trade-in your games, period.
