Electronic Arts has high hopes for their latest game in the Star Wars franchise , Star Wars: Battlefront.
During an investors meeting earlier today, Blake Jorgensen the chief financial adviser revealed that sales projections estimate around nine to ten million sold due to the excitement for the franchise.
"We certainly hope we can leverage a lot of the hype," Jorgensen said. "We're thinking about [sales projections] as two bookends. One bookend is the historical Battlefront, which did roughly 9 million units. The other bookend is our first-person shooter franchise, Battlefield, which typically does around 15 million units."
"We've put in there roughly nine to 10 million units for the title, which we believe is the upside if things go well," said Jorgensen. "It is Gen-4 only and PC, so that needs to be factored into people's thinking."
Star Wars: Battlefront launches November 17th here in the US and November 20th in Canada. You'll be able to find the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
