Baltimore, Maryland - April 2, 2015 - Award-winning vocalist Jillian Aversa is thrilled to present her latest music video featuring renowned cellist Tina Guo in the form of a beautiful tribute to the Final Fantasy VI opera selection, "Aria di Mezzo Carattere," originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Aversa's ethereal voice should be known to fans of the international symphony tour Video Games Live and official game soundtracks including Halo, Civilization, God of War, Soulcalibur, and Killer Instinct. The aria is also featured on the new Video Games Live: Level 4 album, recorded with The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and produced by game composer and VGL host Tommy Tallarico.
As an avid fan of Japanese RPGs and the music of Nobuo Uematsu, the iconic opera scene from Final Fantasy VI was a perfect source of inspiration for Jillian's latest music video tribute, even more so as today marks the 21st anniversary of the game's release:
"The arrangement began as a collaboration with my husband, Andrew Aversa (a.k.a. zircon), for the Final Fantasy VI: Balance & Ruin project he directed on OverClocked ReMix," comments Jillian Aversa. "We added more orchestral elements when I started performing the piece with Video Games Live, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to record with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra for our latest album, Video Games Live: Level 4!"
This remix is absolutely amazing and a must hear for all Final Fantasy VI fans. What do you think about this track? Let us know in the comments below!
